Resources added, there is more …..

I have added a document to the the resources page (see http://mansonp.homelinux.net/blog/?page_id=163) which I compiled a few months back from information I had gathered off the internet.

The original can be found here

I give the original author full credit for the effort put into the website. Here are some more interesting links to follow up on …

3 weeks – Post stopping Lexamil

Well today marks exactly 3 weeks (21 days) after stopping the Lexamil anti-depressant medication after a tapering period that lasted approximately 60 days.

The reader should be aware that the tapering period was short mostly as a result of the fact that I was on an anti-depressant drug called Lexamil for 6 months. Internet research showed me [...]

Blood pressure log .. Started

Today I started a blood pressure log, I was thinking that would have been a cool idea, if I had started this process earlier, to see if there was any correlation between withdrawal symptoms and elevated high blood pressure.

The log has been published on it’s own page  .. take a look at this …..

Day 18, Lexamil withdrawal .. cont ..

Well today is day 18, it has now been just over two weeks (14 days) since I have completely stopped taking any anti-depressive medication called Lexamil.

Just for the record, the reader should note, that I did not “suddenly stop” taking my medication. I tapered from 10mg to 5mg for 40 days, then another 40 days of 2.5mg [...]

Day 17 – Lexamil withdrawal cont …

The brain zaps and disconnected feeling is now definitely something of the past. On the odd occassion it is still there, but very, very mild compared to a week ago.

Life is starting slowly but surely to revert to a new norm for me. It has now been a week ago since I have even had [...]

Day 11 – Lexamil withdrawal symptoms cont ….

Well, it’s now Wednesday morning, day 11 after terminating the use of Lexamil after a long tapering period of about 60 plus days from 10mg -> 5mg -> 2.5 mg and serves as a reminder what the entries in the blog is all about, ”my personal experience, post lexamil withdrawal”.

Yesterday was a holiday, took it real easy on [...]

Day 9 – Eve post – Withdrawal from Lexamil …..

The brain zaps/light headedness is on the decrease, there is no question about that. What I am experiencing more now is a heaviness in the head, almost like a headache but not that severe. It seems to come and go depending on how much brain activity there is.

Now I cannot be certain, but this may [...]

Day 9 – Lexamil withdrawal cont …

Well so far so good. The symptoms of light headedness, brain  zaps or what ever they are called still continue, but they are definitely getting less. Some times it would seem they are completely gone. When I hold my head still, no problem, its when I move my head in a particular fashion, it would [...]

Day 5 – Lexamil withdrawal cont …..

Well today was another one of those days just like any other day. Had a pretty busy day at the office.

By the end of the working day I was pretty much tired and really wanting to go home.

The withdrawal symtoms are still continuing in the form of a light headed sensation particularly when I moved [...]

Day 4 – Post tapering off lexamil

Day 4 Report

Last night I thought it necessary to take a 1/4 tab of 0.5mg Rivotril as I was feeling just a little uneasy, nothing major at all. Bear in mind that I work a full 8 hour day under the normal stress and strains of project deadlines.

Had a very good nights rest, no problem with [...]
